Yesterday I finished A Big Boy Did It and Ran Away by Christopher Brookmyre. Not what I was used to by Brookmyre, as the books I had read so far had featured Jack Parlabane. A Big Boy Did It and Ran Away also has a good and bad guys scenario, a terrorist on one side and a school teacher and young father on the other side. Interesting characters and a fine dose of sarcasm throughout the book. As far as I can remember the critics weren't majorly impressed when it came out. But to hell with critics, I like the book. I recommend it.
Today I started reading The Truth About Markets: Their Genius, Their Limits, Their Follies by John Kay. Obviously I can't say much about it yet, but the first few pages sound interesting. There is also a website at http://www.thetruthaboutmarkets.com/ (Flash Alarm).
