Monday evening news
My pick of the news today:
- The New York Times writes about a liberation in Iraq that has potentially serious consequences: The destruction of the Baghdad Mental Hospital, which set free dozens of potentially dangerous patients. Not to mention the looting that wasn't stopped, making it extremely difficult for the staff to care for the patients now.
- Also in the New York Times: Candidates numbers for Reality TV shows are dwindling. Yes, there's hope...
- Yet another computer virus scare reported by the BBC. When will people learn? You! Do! Not! Open! Attachments! With! An! .exe/.pif/.com/.scr extension!
- Among others also the BBC has some Pro-Euro bosses campaigning for joining the Euro. I guess we will have the answer by the Tories tomorrow.
- And another one from the New York Times: The future of shopping? Geek shopping? Various gadgetry and technology is tested in a German shop.
- On a lighter note (well, may be not so light for the local residents), there's the very real, yet non-existent phone box (via The Register).
