Frohe Weihnachten

Picture of the Grewe family in front of the Christmas tree

Frohe Weihnachten and Merry Christmas from the Grewe family! It's not a great picture, but this is us in front of the Christmas tree. From left to right (just in case you didn't guess...):

Me, Armin, the author of this blog. Jutta, our mother. Bodo, our father. And Imke, my younger sister.

Yes, I'm wearing one of my own Isle of Islay t-shirts from my (shameless plug warning...) Armin's Little Islay Shop. My mother gave one of them to my sister as a Christmas present, if you're living in or near Heidelberg watch out for her/it (not the one I'm wearing, the one with the "Been There, Done That, And Will Go Again" text).

This picture was still taken with the "old" lens, one of my presents was the 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S VR DX Zoom-Nikkor lens. I obviously haven't had much opportunity to try it yet, but the first pictures look very promising.

Other presents exchanged were a number of books, filters for the new lenses and another CD I was interested in for quite a while: Lorna Anderson, Jamie MacDougall and Haydn Trio Eisenstadt: Haydn - Scottish Songs. My sister likes it as well, she says. My father, who gave it to me, says he'll listen to it in more detail tomorrow.

Dinner was very nice, we've talked on the phone with some of the relatives, all in all a very nice evening. We hope yours was nice as well or will be as nice, depending on where you are in the world and how/when you're celebrating Christmas.
