Last weeks links
With all the nice weather the last few days, the excitement of the feature in the newspaper and getting used to my new camera I haven't really got round to clean up and post the various links I collected last week. Well, here's a bunch of links I found interesting the last few days (posted while I'm listening to BBC Radio Scotland Sportsound):
- Male eating disorders in an image obsessed society. That was bound to happen.
- May be I shouldn't have waited so long with posting this link, it's in the pay to read archive now. Anyway, if you're inclined to pay for it, here's an interesting read about British weather forecast accuracy.
- I have no idea how I found this site, but Camusnagaul in Wester Ross, Scotland, looks like a quite nice place. I'm thinking about spending at least part of my summer holidays next year in that area, so this link might come in handy.
- Reading this I had to think about a discussion I had with my mother not too long ago about how my attitude towards death had changed (the details will remain private, they don't matter here): Talking about death. Or not as it is still a taboo.
- George Bush and Tony Blair believe that the war in Iraq has made the world a safer place and was the right answer to the 11/Sep/2001 attacks. Others beg to differ. But Bush is unlikely to admit it. And quite likely his attitude towards the international community won't change either.
- This was already linked all over the blogs, so I want to link to it as well: Bush by numbers.
- Probably not a record you should be proud of: 30 miles on the motorway, the wrong way. Apparently the driver later claimed she thought all the other drivers were going the wrong way. I thought people only say this in jokes?
I think that's enough for now, I'll keep some for tomorrow. And the match I was listening to finished Scotland 0-0 Slovenia.
