My father's suitcase finally arrived at 17:30. Not at the hotel as the slightly unreliable airline had told us, but at my house. And it took 8.5 hours for it to get from Heathrow to Swindon, a distance of 68.3 miles (according to The AA). I'm not impressed.
At least the day wasn't completely wasted: While we were waiting for the suitcase to turn up I finally completed a page and also added another page to my Scotland Summer 2004 travelogue: The Goatfell page is now complete and I've also added a QuickTime VR panorama of the view over North Goatfell, Mullach Buidhe and Coire Lan. I hope to be a bit quicker with the next page.
This is also an excellent opportunity to mention a great blog I recently discovered: Bagger. A must read (and subscribe if you use an RSS aggregator) for anyone interested in hillwalking in Scotland and in particular Munro Bagging. I've only been on two Munros so far, but I hope to add a few more in the future.
