Charles Rennie Mackintosh

Time for some art, a posting about Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

I didn't read it until today, but yesterdays The Independent had a very interesting report about Mackintosh and the rediscovery of his time in Port-Vendres/France. A new exhibition will give an overview of his life and his time in Port-Vendres, it is thought that his wife Margaret Macdonald scattered his ashes in the harbour of Port-Vendres after his death.

Reading this spurred me on to finally add a new page to my Charles Rennie Mackintosh pages. Almost a year after visiting it I wrote a page with pictures of the chancel furniture of Holy Trinity Church in Bridge of Allan, Scotland. Mackintosh designed the furniture in 1904 at the height of his career. Hope you enjoy it.
