A bunch of links
Quite busy at work (and at home) the last few days, so blogging has been light. And will be again for the next few days. So here's a bunch of links for your perusal:
- I think they should get out and play on the street more ;-) Isn't that the usual argument about kids spending too much time in front of the PC? Only, now it seem to be grey gamers...
- ******* spammers again: The can get companies into trouble if they don't stop pornographic spam. And now they even turning to classic literature to get past spam filters. What next?
- Sorry Sonia, but with so many errors you disqualify yourself when you say ICANN needs to be reined in. Verisigns Sitefinder service would not stop users being redirected to a porn site if they mistype a domain name, for the simple reason that these names are registered deliberately to do this. Google doesn't offer a service similar to Sitefinder, for the simple reason that Google is a search engine and not an ISP (yes, Google has a "did you mean" function, yet this is completely different). Try again.
- Interesting read about an American company not following the "outsource to Asia to save costs" and keeping their production in - Mexico. A few interesting points why outsourcing to a cheap location far away is not always the solution.
- Unfortunately US based, but I think the Moominshop must have absolutely everything Moomin. I loved the books as a child, actually, I still have some in my bookshelf...
- The Scotsman heaps a lot of praise on two Islay Single Malts: Bruichladdich and Ardbeg.
- Not sure how long the video will be online, at least the transcript should be available for a while for Spend it like Beckham. And how to finance it on credit. Leading to a debt mountain. Scary.
- Indian salaries in the US. Interesting implications, depending on how this will spread if at all.
- Exercise addiction. If you excuse me now, I'm off. Running...
I hope these will keep you busy for a few days...
