Business 2.0 picks up on Edward Tufte's latest essay The Cognitive Style of PowerPoint and argues that PowerPoint is ruining presentations. I can agree to this thought to a large extent. I've seen a lot of presentations with pointless build sequences, had presentations read to me (often over the phone) and got scared by supposedly funny sound effects. I'm sure I'm guilty of some of these sins myself, I hope I can stop making these mistakes soon. Unfortunately the essay doesn't seem to be available at Amazon.co.uk yet. Let's hope it will be available soon, so that I can start making better presentations...
