No more speeding abroad

So what will the Tories say about this? We can't have the European Union meddling in our internal affairs? Or will they be the guardians of law and order and support it? The EU has agreed plans to ensure fines are enforced across borders, so a Brit speeding in France or a German receiving a parket ticket won't be able to evade the fines any longer.

And a warning to those who (like the speaker on BBC Five Live today) think that there are no speed limits on the Autobahn in Germany: While there are sections without speed limits, large sections do have speed limits (especially around urban areas or dangerous stretches). Pleading ignorance is probably not going to let you get off, if you get caught.
