Link Potpourri
Quite busy the last few days and I'll be out again tomorrow. Time to blog a few links I found interesting over the last few days. Some dead serious, some more funny, in other words a variety of topics. Hope you find some of them interesting:
- As to be expected a lot has been written about the latest bomb attacks in London on 21 July. A well written summary of what might be in store by Billmon (via John Robb, who he quotes and analyses)
- I'm 'only' 6ft4, but to an extent I can understand how this guy must feel. Including the frame my bed is 8ft long and I've struggled to fit it into some bedrooms...
- Not really a new topic, but it raises a few good points again: Driven to distraction by technology (via Techdirt). I certainly find myself more and more often trying to escape from the constant interuptions. In a similar vain: Time to switch off and slow down. Which reminds me, I haven't checked the voicemail of my mobile phone for days...
- Not sure I understand this yet, but apparently microformats are the next big thing. You read it here first, well, whatever.
- The list is quite long, but I think there might be some interesting books in Mark Taw's list. I've got Sources of Power in my bookshelf, need to finish reading it some time. What I've read so far was very interesting.
- I live about 10min walk from work, a distance I walk four times per (working) day, as I usually have my lunch at home. Luckily there are pavements (that's sidewalks for Americans) for most of the way, although I have to walk on the road in places. I meet a few people on the way and it seems more people are now discovering walking. And while I'm at it, ‘Hillwalking is a natural high. There’s that sense of exhilaration‘
I think that's enough links (Hey, that's my phrase! But you're right, that's enough links. Ed.), time to get some sleep.
