Lazy Sunday Afternoon

This entry could turn out to be a reasonably dull entry, but more about that later. As it was quite hot today and I could still slightly feel the calf strain from earlier this week I decided not to go walking as I had planned earlier. Instead I packed my backpack with a few other things and drove to the Kennet & Avon Canal at Wootton Rivers.

After a short walk along the canal I found a nice place under a tree, time to open the backpack. Out came the blanket, the thermos bottle with the tea, the cooler bag, the radio and The Independent. FM reception for some reason was almost non-existent, so I switched to AM and tuned into BBC Radio Five Live. The rest of the afternoon was then spent reading the newspaper, listening to the wireless (mainly about Tiger Woods winning the British Open at St Andrews), drinking tea and watching the occasional canal boat passing by.

Not very exciting, but very relaxing. And leading to a fairly dull entry. I'll let you decide though if it was as dull as the "Blog of the week" featured in The Independent today: The dullest blog in the world.
