Weihnachtsessen

Frohe Weihnachten! Presents were exchanged, I gave framed prints of some of my Scotland pictures to my parents and my sister. They said they liked them. Now they only need to find a place to hang them...

What did I get? My real present I already received four months ago, where my parents contributed to the purchase. My mother now gave me a 1GB memory card, my current 256MB card wasn't really sufficient. Also the latest CD by the Bremer Kaffeehaus- Orchester. My father gave me a few CD's, among them recordings by Nikolaus Lahusen. And my sister gave me something very nice to read: Peat, Smoke and Spirit: The Story of Islay and Its Whiskies by Andrew Jefford.

After that it was time for our non-traditional Christmas dinner (no goose for us then, which would be the traditional German christmas dinner). My sister had her own special vegetarian chinese style dinner, as she is on a special diet. The rest of us had chicken, also in some kind of chinese style. All cooked at the table in two woks. White wine, wheat beer and lager for most of us, only my sister drank water (she doesn't drink alcohol). A nice meal, very enjoyable. And only my sister and me used chopsticks.

Now we are just having a nice chat while drinking some nice single malt whisky. Talking about this, that and the other while listening to the new CDs. Which is one of the reasons why I've been writing on this entry for at least the last two hours...
