Encryption

My original plan for this weekend was to work on the Scotland Winter 2004 travelogue. But then I got sidetracked: Instead of reviewing pictures and writing pages I somehow decided it was time to learn a bit more about encryption. So I went away and installed PGP 8.1 Freeware. Then it was time to integrate it with The Bat!, which I use as e-mail client. Most of it wasn't too difficult after reading up about it on various websites (apologies to my non-German speaking readers, some of them are in German only. They were just better than some of the English pages I found):

I think I've got everything working now, my public key is available on my my personal website and also on this blog (my PGP public key). When I visit my parents and sister over Christmas we will probably install it on their laptops as well.

You can encrypt your message with PGP or similar tools, here's my PGP Public key. If you don't know what that is just ignore this paragraph.
