But is it Art?

Picture of something that could be art

With the rain, snow and sleet today I decided to stay at home and after a long break work on my Scotland Summer 2004 travelogue again.

While working on a page about one of the most beautiful bays I know, Kiloran Bay, I stumbled over an interesting picture. On my way back to the beach after walking up Carnan Eoin I came over the strange construction in the picture on the right.

It's really only rubbish, but then someone had carefully assembled it on the remains of a rig or something. Plastic bags, ropes, nets, shoes, buckets, canisters, pipes, lids, tools among other things. Does this give it a meaning? Or in other words: But is is art?

I'll let you decide while I get back to work on the travelogue ;-)
