Christmas Shopping?

When I was at Tesco yesterday for my weekly shopping I was given another signal that summer is definitely drawing to a close. The signal? Tesco have started selling christmas crackers. Yes, you read right, christmas crackers. It's only end of September and they start selling christmas crackers. I guess you can never prepare for Christmas early enough...

Picture of the cover of Fleshmarket CloseBut as we are on the topic of Christmas shopping here's a suggestion for what you might want to buy: Fleshmarket Close by Ian Rankin, the latest book in the Inspector Rebus series. It only came out yesterday, so I haven't read it yet. But as I've read (and own) all the other books of the series I'm sure this will be a good read as well. For more thoughts about crime fiction and why it matters you can also read this interview with Ian Rankin in yesterday's Independent which alerted me to the new book.

And if you're interested in photography, own an Olympus E10 or E20, are looking for a tele extension lens, then you might want to head over to this eBay auction of an Olympus TCON 14B Tele Extension Lens for E10 and E20. Yes, that's me trying to sell some of my old equipment.
