Spring Walk

Picture of the Thames near Castle Eaton

Today was a warm and mostly sunny day so I decided to get out a bit. I drove to Castle Eaton, which has the first pub on the Thames, the Red Lion. But this time I went straight past the pub, as I wanted to walk a bit. The Thames Path was my destination for today.

The Thames is still tiny at this stage, if I hadn't known that it was the Thames I probably would have thought it is just an unimportant stream like thousands others. It turned out to be a very nice walk through some very green landscape.

Actually, not only green. I came across a few meadows with an unbelievable amount of buttercups. And all kinds of insects, this one decided to land on my trousers and allow me to take a picture:

Anyone got any idea what this is? I haven't got a clue. At least it didn't bite, which could have been quite painful considering its size...

And finally from our department for completely pointless videos in bad quality and without sound which we take just because we can and then upload to the server to bore people to death: Walking through a meadow with lots of buttercups (Broadband or faster connection recommended, the video is 10MB). Just don't say you haven't been warned.

Dodgy picture of the moment:

There's a dodgy video linked above, that has to be sufficient for today.
