A few links half way through the week:
- I think he made that up. But then I don't know anything about smallholding: Trampolining hens. Unfortunately no pictures.
- Elvis Presley is a Scot. Well, kind of. At least his roots can be traced back to Aberdeenshire.
- Iain Macwhirter comments on the war against terrorism -vs- the war in Iraq in the Herald. Interesting comparison to the fight against the IRA:
If the British government had followed the Bush doctrine of pre-emption in Ireland, we would likely have invaded Dublin around 1968.
Instead the real success only came when political solutions were sought in the 1990s. - Gambling at Castle Greyskull? Shouldn't they try to play football first?
- The article focuses on the US, but the development won't be restricted to the US: One Giant Global Labor Pool? But then global outsourcing might not necessarily be the best solution.
- hiddenglasgow, interesting site with pictures of buildings and places in Glasgow now disappeared or soon to disappear
