Herzlichen Glückwunsch, Papi!
I already spoke with him during lunch earlier today, but it's never too late to also blog it: Today is my father's birthday, or in other words "Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag, Papi!"
The picture on the right is not the best, but it's the most recent one I have. With me living in England and him and my mother in Germany we only see each other once or twice a year. Luckily there's the phone, the only thing he still needs to learn is not to call so late ;-) Which is quite funny considering the time difference, but then I tend to go to bed fairly early while he usually stays up quite late.
I sent him the autobiography of Eric J Hobsbawm (English version). I hope he'll like it, when we spoke earlier he had only just opened the parcel.
