The discussion about the new US visa restrictions is only just slowing down slightly when the next idea pops up:
There are rumours that booking a flight ticket will soon require providing a fingerprint. This would pretty much kill off any internet bookings, as almost no computer has the capability to read fingerprints. I assume this would also create a lot of problems for travel agencies as they would need to obtain the equipment (probably a comparably minor issue) but would also have to stop any telephone bookings.
I don't remember the last time I went into a travel agent, for the last few years I've booked all my travel over the web or the phone. If this really happens this will certainly cause quite a lot of disruption for me. And a lot of other people.
